Here is our guide to the installation process of your fitted bedroom.
Fitted Bedroom Furniture – Step 1
Appointments are usually made through Hammonds Call Centre or by contacting the shop via phone or E-mail, or alternatively the customer can visit our showroom which not only can they make an appointment but have the chance to see over 20 displays to get some kind of inspiration.
Fitted Bedroom Furniture – Step 2
The day of the appointment will entail measuring up the bedroom followed by a brief discussion of how to approach the best design and use of space for your bedroom/Office with a rough idea of price.
Fitted Bedroom Furniture – Step 3
We will then come back to the showroom where we will do a CAD design and work out the best suitable plan taking into account the customers requirements. We will produce a booklet for the customer which includes a floor plan and a graphic visual depicting the exterior and interior views. We will also provide an itemised costing showing every part needed for the plan.
Fitted Bedroom Furniture – Step 4
We usually invite the customer to visit our showroom to view and discuss the proposed plans when ready. Our showroom has over 20 displays to help the customer visualize the design and show the exact sizes of units. Changes to the plan can be amended on our software from interiors to the colour of the furniture. After the plan is finalised we will go through the discounts and show a breakdown cost of the price of the goods and fitting.
Fitted Bedroom Furniture – Step 5
If the customer is happy to go ahead with the plan we would schedule a fitting date with the customer and to sign agreement along with a 20% deposit of the goods. We will then outline delivery days and how long the fitting will take. On the day of the order it normally takes 4 weeks for the furniture to be made and delivered to us.
Fitted Bedroom Furniture – Step 6
We will write a standard letter to the customer a week before the delivery outlining the day of delivery and fitting which also includes the outstanding balance. The letter states that the customer must clear the room before the fitting commences so that the fitter has space to work in. We also stress to customers that extra dust sheets is advisable as there will be a lot of dust due to the fact that a lot of cutting will be on site.
Fitted Bedroom Furniture – Step 7
On the day of the delivery we ask the customer to pay the balance of the goods to the delivery driver and to pay the fitter separately on completion of the work.
